Ashok was honoured to place wreaths during services in Loftus and Guisborough on Sunday. Ashok said "its vital that we never forget the sacrifice that members of the armed forces have made and continue to make to protect our way of life. Without their selfless acts of bravery, this country would be a very different place today and it is them that we think of today."

"It is also improtant at this time to think of all those who are serving overseas at this time doing vital work to ensure that our streets are safe. The service that they give to our country is outstanding and I am proud to say that it is because of them that our armed forces are the very best in the world."

"I would like to thank those people who worked hard to organise the services, especially the Royal British Legion who do such great work on behalf of our great veterans. Remembrance Sunday is a time where we all come together to give thanks to those brave men and women and I was honoured to take my small part in the events."
